To continue its commitment to America, and the new Chrysler vehicles in our Quarryville, PA showroom, Chrysler is investing more time and resources in to its production facilities. Specifically they will be focused on the engines you can find in vehicles across their entire lineup of models.

The Tigershark engine which is found on vehicles such as the DART, upcoming Cherokee and the potential Chrysler 100 (which we may have mentioned here in our the Providence Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM blog before  will be the responsibility of two important plants up in Michigan.  The two will work together with one of the facilities producing the cranks, heads, and blocks of the engine, while the other will foster creating the actual engine from the parts.

With the total investment projected to be around $53 million, Chrysler believes it will create around 298 jobs  spanning both of the production facilities.  Even better, everything is expected to up and running and fully operational by September 30!

The Tigershark engine, isn't the only focus though, as the Trenton North Plant will also end up creating the Pentastar V-6, commonly found on the, Chrysler 300.
